Loving Chanhassen – One of The Best Communities in America
Why do residents love Chanhassen? Of course it is fairly well known that last year, according to Money Magazine, Chanhassen was ranked the 4th ‘Best Place to Live’ in America, but what are the real reasons that both bring and keep people here?
After adding more commuter options via SouthWest Transit centers, residents find it easier to get to work and back, relieving stress and offering extra work time along the way. There are even express bus options to the University of Minnesota. The school district has a reputation that rivals surrounding cities, especially when it comes to technology – even the school buses now have Wi-Fi. Private schools include Chapel Hill Academy and St. Hubert’s.
Shopping convenience in Chanhassen attracts people from neighboring communities in addition to locals. Counting Target, there are 4 grocery options that include Byerly’s, Cub and Lakewinds Co-Op. Target, OfficeMax, Kinko’s and Frattalone’s Ace Hardware are among the popular retailers in the main shopping district. Other conveniences include the Carver County Library and the Carver County Service Center to handle licensing and passport services.
Entertainment and recreation opportunities abound. There are 34 parks and 90 miles of trails in Chanhassen, plus the adjoining 1100 acre University of Minnesota Arboretum. In addition to the Chanhassen Cinema, there is live theater at the popular landmark Chanhassen Dinner Theater. Dining out? Options include staples such as Leeann Chin, Perkins, Chipotle, Buffalo Wild Wings and Applebee’s, plus finer dining at Houlihan’s and Axel’s. After that, get in a workout at Lifetime Fitness.
