Fall Activities in Chanhassen; The Garden by the Woods Fall Festival, 4th Annual Long Lake Art Show and Much More!
Chanhassen, along with spectacular Lake Minnetonka, go hand in hand this time of year. The beautiful fall colors surround both towns, sharing fall activities for everyone. This is one of the most bustling, breathtaking areas around the Twin Cities, and boasts many interesting activities!
To kick off the season, The Garden by the Woods Festival located at 78 West 78th Street, Chanhassen, is going to be a great way to enjoy the weather; while it’s still nice! Starting bright and early at 9 a.m. Saturday, October 19th and going into the evening; there are non-stop events:
10 a.m. – How to Cook in a Pumpkin, 11 a.m. – Elves, Trolls and Fairies Garden Decorating, 1 p.m. until 4 – Henna Tattoos, 2 p.m. – Fall Table Top Decorating, 2 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Tomato Toss, 2 p.m. – Kids’ Action Figure Garden Decorating
Fun on the Lawn on Saturday: 3-legged races, bean bag toss, make your own caramel apples, pumpkin carvings and live music from Small Town Anthem from 4 – 5 p.m. Kids, don’t forget to dress up to win your very own pumpkin! Free to everyone, so mark your calenders for this fun-filled event in Chanhassen.
Another, free fall event to attend is the Fourth Annual Long Lake Art Show! 40 different artists from the community provide an exciting exhibit for anyone to enjoy. Along with terrific local musicians, Caribou Coffee will be providing free hot coffee and food for sale. You have two days to get to this event! Starting Saturday, October 26th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 5.
Take advantage of these wonderful, free activities to participate in during the month of October! If nothing else, take a walk anywhere in the town; it’s beautiful this time of year.
