Chanhassen Parks and Rec Offering Family Cross Country Skiing Lesson
Local families are invited to learn how to cross country ski this winter in Chanhassen.
According to the city of Chanhassen, Carver County Parks and Chanhassen’s Parks and Recreation Department are offering a family cross country ski lesson for families on Jan. 20 at Lake Minnewashta Regional Park.
From 12:30 to 2 p.m., the course will reportedly provide an interactive ski lesson covering types of equipment, basic drills for balance, form, and agility. In addition, the majority of the lesson will be practicing your stride on groomed trails.
Lake Minnewashta Regional Park is located at 6900 Hazeltine Blvd. in Chanhassen, and the cost for the lesson is $12 for residents and $15 for nonresidents, and includes rental fees for skis.
