Chanhassen Ice
With temperatures dropping in Chanhassen it’ll be just a matter of time before we start seeing the outdoor skating rinks are flooded and open to the public (weather permitting). In recent years, weather has not always cooperated when it comes to flooding skating rinks. As a result, the following is the City of Chanhassen’s policy to determine calendar dates of when it is and isn’t appropriate to flood rinks: If skating rinks can be opened on January 10 or before, all rinks will be flooded. The season will be cancelled if rinks are not opened by January 11, but with the way the temperatures have been lately hopefully mother nature will provide us with some cold temps so everyone can enjoy the sights and sounds of winter while out on the ice. Listed below are the locations of the outdoor ice rinks around Chanhassen. Or for more information click here.
