Chanhassen DECA Members Attend Conference in California

Earlier in May, 20 DECA members from Chanhassen High School got to attend an international conference in California.

According to the Eastern Carver County School District, the 20 students joined more than 19,000 high school students from around the globe at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA.

At the conference, students competed against between 170-200 other students/groups from around the globe in DECA events, the report said, and for the first time in school history, Chanhassen students brought home a trophy.

The best part? Matt Hove, Jake Maus, and Drake Weisman brought home a third place trophy in the Hospitality and Tourism Operations Research event, article said.
