Event: Chanhassen’s 4th of July Celebration
Dates: July 2nd, 3rd and 4th
Location: City Center Park

This Chanhassen annual celebration is a year-round topic of conversation in the community and is renowned throughout the state. Participation levels top 8,000 people per day.

This year’s activities are scheduled for July 2, 3, and 4 and all events are held at City Center Park, in downtown Chanhassen.

Event: Lake Minnetonka – Annual 4th of July Celebration
 July 4, 2013
Time: 8:00am-Dusk
Locations: Downtown Excelsior and Commons Park

4th of July on Lake Minnetonka has been a tradition for more than 135 years!

The day begins with the Annual Firecracker Fun Run and 10K, Kids’ Parade on Water Street, Sand Sculpture Contest, Fishing Contest, and Popsicle Social.

This year, they are proud to announce the Wolverines Big Band will be entertaining the crowd well into the evening. Michael Wiskus and the Lucas Oil Air Show will thrill the crowd once again with its aviation acrobatics. Then, for our can’t-miss finale, we’ll have our annual fireworks spectacular – the only public fireworks show on Lake Minnetonka!

Event: Excelsior – Trolley Rides on Independence Day
 July 4, 2013
Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: Board at Water Street Stop between 3rd and George Streets, or at Old Excelsior Boulevard near Minnetonka Boulevard.
 $2 per person (children 3 and under Free



Event: Edina 4th of July Parade
Date: July 4th, 2013
Time: 10:00am

The 2013 Edina 4th of July parade begins behind Edina City Hall at Eden Avenue and Willson Road (just east of Minnesota Highway 100) and proceeds one mile east on 50th Street to the U.S. Bank parking lot at Halifax Avenue.

The parade begins at 10 a.m. July 4, 2013. Don’t miss it!



Event: 2013 St. Louis Park 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks
Date: July 4th, 2013 (rain date July 5th)
Time: 7pm
Location: Aquila Park
Cost: FREE

Fireworks at Aquila Park is a St. Louis Park tradition! Concessions, vendors, and a special performance by Stevie and the Table Rockers (rock-n-roll music) will be at the park 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Fireworks begin at approximately 10 p.m. Although leashed dogs are allowed in the parks, we strongly discourage them from attending due to their hearing sensitivity.


Event: Plymouth – Happy Birthday America Parade
Date: June 28th, 2013
Time: 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM
Location: Hilde Performance Center, 3450 Plymouth Blvd, Plymouth, Minnesota 55447
Cost: Free

Celebrate America by taking part in this kiddie parade and patriotic celebration.

Bring your bikes, trikes, wagons and friends. Decorate with streamers and balloons which are provided or bring your own! Beverages and peanut-free snacks will be served.

Event: Wayzata Independence Day Breakfast
Date: July 4th
Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Historic Wayzata Depot, 402 E. Lake Street
Admission: $6; USA Veterans eat free

Begin your day with a ‘Revolutionary’ breakfast… a festive celebration for patriots of all ages.
